Anode Replacement
All anodes should be replaced when they are worn out to prevent excessive damage to expensive engineering components in the boat, we can offer two options, depending on how often you get the boat lifted out.
Replacement while in the yard, this is the simplest way of replacing the anodes, and can easily be added into any anti-foul process, further more we will provide fitting for free with any anti-foul!
Replacement by a diver while in the water, if you don't get your boat lifted every year, or the anodes get used up particularly quickly, then make sure your engine is protected from the harsh environment it is in all year round. Prop Cleaning
We can offer a comprehensive prop cleaning service. We make sure that all props and shafts are as clean as possible, the process involves an acid wash to get the worst of the growth off, and then rubbing down the surface with wet and dry paper, we have found that this is the most thorough way to get rid of the growth. Ideally the surface should be left completely smooth, so that it is more difficult for growth to re-appear.
Outdrive Anti-foul
This is a notoriously fiddly job and difficult to do well to ensure the paint bonds sufficiently to the slippery surface of the drives. We only use International paints to ensure the best possible anti-fouling, although it doesn't stop growth entirely it is certainly the best product we have used to date.
