Blue yacht management was originally set up in 2005 by William French to cater for a growing market of boat owners who required a very professional single point of contact for all aspects of care on their boats.
Since starting out on by himself carrying out and project managing work, the business has grown into new facilities in Drivers Wharf where it is possible to house boats up to 35 feet under cover, the craning facilities can lift boats up to 12 tonnes, and with such a central location it is easy for customers to get to their boat. In 2011 William Joined forces with Mark Tugwell, with Marks business mind and wealth of knowledge in boats and Williams practical nature the company can deal with all maintenance and repair requirements on your boat.
William studied Yacht Manufacturing and Surveying at Southampton Solent University, and started sailing at the age of six. His first boat was an international moth, which barely stayed upright, but when it was went like a bullet! Since then he has owned a string of contenders, all of which have been projects.
